WELCOME

Thank you for your interest in the latest in touch-free vehicle washing technology from Washing Equipment Technologies.

On this page you will find tips on how to get started. I have also assembled some documents that can be helpful during your planning process. Please note that some files will require Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free program.

We at Washing Equipment Technologies are here to help you make the right business decision. Remember, "waitresses bring customers what they ask for...professional salespeople get the customer what they need." No question is too small or out-of-order. It's the one(s) that you do not ask that you wish you had.

INTERESTED IN YOUR OWN Laserwash ?

DETERMINE YOUR PROJECT'S SCOPE AND SIZE BEFORE YOU GO TO YOUR BANK

It is easier and cheaper to get approved the first time than to re-apply. I strongly discourage you from doing so, but if you feel that you must get to the bank before you get accurate estimates, count on your informal estimate being too low! Multiply your best-guess estimate by 1.3 (30% more).

Bays (see below) - an example @ 10,000 vpd traffic flow if you
do not have Excel)

service on land, building and equipment)

CHOOSE A RELIABLE CONTRACTOR

After choosing a Laserwash and/or iWash system, this is the most important thing you can do. You will save time and money by simply interviewing contractors and checking references.

A local contractor will already know how to handle permits and zoning and will have a relationship with the appropriate engineers and architects.

Ask them to put together a construction proposal (sample Word document or sample *.pdf file).

WHAT CONSTITUTES A GOOD SITE?

New York State:
The traffic count past your site is important. If your site is situated on a state or federal highway route in New York State, see the State or Federal Highway Routes by County. Scroll down to Appendix E and choose the highway(s) of interest.

For local, county highways look at for Local Traffic Counts by County and Town. You can also call your county Department of Transportation.

For a not-quite-so-easy-to-use alternative, look at this NYSDOT interactive map.

The State of Pennsylvania:
Pennsylvania DOT has has maps with traffic counts, which can be seen here

Demographic Information:
You can also get valuable Demographic Information from the US Census Bureau, for average household incomes, housing information, etc.; click on the 'Show me" box on the next (Census Bureau) screen..

In-Bay Site Analysis:
What makes a good site? Compare your site to these profiles - In-Bay Automatic Site Analysis I and Site Analysis II (pdf format).
(p.s. - take the 'answer' with a grain of salt! They're not all barn-burners. Use the within-categorie variable comparisons, not the absolute value assigned to them)
